George graduated from the University of N.S.W. with an Engineering Degree majoring in Construction and Management in 1975.

Since that time he has worked in various management positions in the commercial building industry in Sydney. George currently runs a own Project Management business, which provides independent building, management and feng shui advice to various clients.

George first became aware of feng shui about 20 years ago when a Chinese geomancer and feng shui practitioner assessed a $20 million project he was building in Sydney’s Chinatown district. His major recommendations included the realignment of the escalators so that the “wealth did not flow out”, and a delay of one week before demolition and construction could start. George was allowed to start on a particular day, at a particular time and to demolish only three bricks before going off to have a celebratory lunch with Chinatown dignitaries. Proper demolition started the next day. Like most Westerners, this seemed strange to him at the time, as his focus was on more practical issues. He accepted the advice, as his client reported that the Asian community would not lease a building with bad feng shui.

In 1992 he set up the Feng Shui Advisory Centre in Sydney and worked full time providing consultations, lectures and seminars in feng shui, building design and related areas for about 3 years before returning to the commercial and industrial property industry. He has addressed a variety of professional groups and conferences, and appeared on television and various radio talk back programs.

This research and associated consulting work resulted in the publication of the book Feng Shui – The Key Concepts in 1995. George wrote this in response to a growing Australian and worldwide demand for an introductory book to this Chinese philosophy of design and placement. While maintaining the essence of the philosophy, the book explains in easily understood terms, some of the basic feng shui concepts that have been applied successfully for thousands of years to increase people’s comfort, harmony and good fortune at home and in the workplace.

The book is an excellent starting point for anyone with an interest in feng shui and aims to bridge the gap to the more advanced books available. It shows how feng shui can be adapted and applied wisely, with confidence and humour in modern western society. Feng Shui – The Key Concepts has sold over 50,000 copies worldwide since it was published by George in Australia. In March 1997 it was published in America under the title The Feng Shui Companion and the foreign language rights have been sold in Croatian, French, Greek, Polish, Hungarian, Turkish, Portuguese and Bulgarian.

This book has just been reprinted and is available by emailing George. He sells an eBook  version of “Feng Shui – The Key Concepts “ for $9.99 at his Renovation Plan Website. To buy it click here.

George’s experiences have demonstrated that feng shui can have a clear and definable use in business development, commercial building, home and interior design in modern western culture. It can be applied in both new and existing buildings, often without significant cost. In buildings, where the principles have been applied people have reported “coincidental” changes to various aspects of their fortune and health.

George has recently released a new feng shui eBookFeng Shui Symbols – Ancient Secrets to finding Love and Wealth which is available by clicking on the link on the right hand side of this page.
